The South Australian Government and Regions SA are making available a package of funding programs through the Regional Job Accelerator Fund

The initiatives contained in the fund include the establishment of a $4 million Regions Loans Scheme that supplements the assistance available through the Regional Development Fund.

The loan purpose must relate to improving business operations through expansion or new market development. Details are available on the Regions SA website at :

www.pir.sa.gov.au/regions/programs/regions_loans_scheme.

Regions SA would like to hear from businesses or organizations in the region who may be interested in participating in this loan scheme, and those who may be interested but may be restricted due to the maximum and minimum loan amounts. Currently the loans must be between $500,000 and $2,000,000 but Regions SA are interested to know about projects that do not fall into this range.

Volunteer Grants 2015

The Australian Government has invested $20 million in Volunteer Grants 2015 in recognition of the valuable role of volunteers and to encourage volunteering  in the local community.  As you know, volunteers participate in a diverse range of activities, including helping at sporting events, fundraising, or assisting in emergencies or natural disasters.

Grants between $1000 and $5000 are available to help not-for-profit community organisations support their volunteers through practical measures such as the purchase of small equipment items, reimbursement for volunteers' fuel and transport costs, and contributions towards the cost of training and background screening checks.

The grants provide a valuable opportunity for your organisation to support its volunteers.

This year's grants will give priority to organisations working with individuals or communities experiencing disadvantage, including communities affected by natural disasters.

Applications for the Volunteers grant is now closed.
