National Firearms Amnesty 2017

Australia’s National Firearms Amnesty is on from 1st July – 30th September 2017

The National Firearms Amnesty campaign is primarily aimed at people with unregistered firearms and firearm-related articles to encourage them to participate in the amnesty.
The secondary audiences for this campaign include firearm interest groups who can assist with promoting the amnesty and the importance of registering firearms and regional communities.

  • Australia’s National Firearms Amnesty is on from 1 July – 30 September 2017.
  • Now is the time to register or hand in any unregistered firearms without penalty.

  • If you are found with an unregistered firearm outside of the amnesty, you risk a fine of up to $280,000 and 14 years in jail.
