Southern Hills Local Government Association  is a regional association of Councils under Part 4 of the Constitution of the Local Government Association of South Australia and is a Regional Subsidiary under the provisions of Section 43 and Schedule 2 of the Local Government Act 1999. The six Constituent Councils of the Association are: Adelaide Hills Council, Alexandrina Council, Kangaroo Island Council, Mount Barker District Council, City of Victor Harbor and District Council of Yankalilla 

Dome Association is a community-based not-for-profit employment and training organisation that has been offering services to mature age unemployed and disadvantaged people in South Australia since 1981.  A board of Management made up of members oversees the affairs of the Association.

Environment Protection Authority RDA is coordinating the implementation of a Waste Management Strategy for Greenwaste Processing in the Fleurieu Region. This is a joint initiative with the three Councils in the region. The project involves identifying and implementing waste minimization and management initiatives for the region, with funding from the EPA and Councils.
